Seoul Hot Pot

The quality of the food in this restaurant has improved a lot since the last time I visited a few years ago. Unfortunately so is the price. Most item on the menu comes with $2 price increase, if you order combo the price could increase by as much as $9. Expect to pay 20% more for future visit. We ordered the exact same food for lunch, for two consecutive weeks, last week it was $45, and this week it is $54.

Went for the hot pot but ended up with much more! All in house made banchan! The radish kimchi was a favorite! Owner and cook brought homemade dessert end of meal. Very well priced and we ended up with enough leftovers for several more meals!

The food here is absolutely fantastic, don't miss this! All the stores around them have gone out of business, but don't let that deter you. They are standing strong and we hope their restaurant continues to thrive. We have their soft tofu soup regularly, and it's a family favorite. All the sides and the purple rice that come with it are all superbly delicious. Their seafood pancake is also outstanding. The service there is also kind, patient, sweet, and friendly. Back when my elderly parents were able to dine in before covid, they were so accommodating and gave my elderly parents paper menus when they couldn't handle the digital versions through the QR codes. They also spoke some Japanese to them, which really made them feel at home. We cannot recommend this place enough. Great food, great service. Definitely go check them out!

New discovery. I'm not sure why the ratings are low but this is a very good family owned restaurant. I had the beef rib bowl, the stock has no sugar, not overly salty, and tastes like beef like it's supposed to be. Portions are generous, condiments are plenty and delicious. Even the rice is not plain white rice. Service is great, knowledgeable, accommodating, pleasant. Love it.

Overall a pretty good experience with solid Korean food! My partner got a spicy kimchi with beef tofu soup, overall he thought the spice was at a good level but the broth could be a little more flavorful. The banchan was fresh and the purple rice was very tasty. Would have liked a refill on some of the banchan, but that’s okay. I got the dumpling tofu soup which was pretty good. Interestingly, they crack the egg in the soup for you, but I prefer to do it myself. Other members in our party got a bento box and bi bim bap, all apparently were good. Service was okay. They give you barley tea, which is nice if you like that. Overall not a bad place to check out. I would maybe try other options on the menu in the future.

Food was great. Service was great. I highly recommend the seafood pancake. It was delicious. The banchan was also very tasty. This was my second time going and will definitely return.

One of the best restaurants that I have tried in the Bellevue-Redmond area. As the other commenter said, I am not sure why it has low ratings, but I always recommend it to friends and family. We have always had amazing service, and they always cater to our preferences, even customizing our dishes a bit since we are all vegetarian. Since our first time there, they explicitly asked whether we eat fish or had any allergies. The atmosphere is good, I feel like they always choose music appropriate for the amount of people and the volume is great for having ambience while being able to chat. 100% recommended!!!
